Have we solved the 3D reconstruction problem? NO! We often assume scenes are static, but even fixed physical structures can undergo dramatic visual changes on time scales from years down to days. Cities are a great example! Billboards, signs, businesses, and street art are constantly changing. How can we chronicle these changing scenes at the granularity of weeks or days?

Immediate memory for “when, where and what”: Short‐delay retrieval using dynamic naturalistic material
We investigated the neural correlates supporting three kinds of memory judgments after very short delays using naturalistic material. In two functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiments, subjects watched short movie clips, and after a short retention (1.5-2.5 s), made mnemonic judgments about specific aspects of the clips. In Experiment 1, subjects were presented with two scenes and...
متن کاملThe Chronology of Ante-Natal Life
It is probably no exaggeration to say that few obstetricians have a very clear perception of the progress of events, normal and pathological, during ante-natal life. The drama of embryonic and fcetal development and growth is going on, but the curtain has not been rung up, and the spectators get only confused impression's from the swaying of the drop-scene and from vague sounds, " excursions an...
متن کاملDevelopment of Chalcolithic Phases in Gilund through Ceramic Chronology
This paper deals with pottery assemblage from the chalcolithic phase of the site of Gilund in Rajsamand district ofRajasthan. Though pottery from this site has been studied earlier (Shinde et al 2002), however there was no literatureavailable on the ceramic chronology of Gilund with layers ascertained to it. This paper tries to build up a ceramicchronology in the site in order to indentify diff...
متن کاملConsensus temporal order of amino acids and evolution of the triplet code.
Forty different single-factor criteria and multi-factor hypotheses about chronological order of appearance of amino acids in the early evolution are summarized in consensus ranking. All available knowledge and thoughts about origin and evolution of the genetic code are thus combined in a single list where the amino acids are ranked chronologically. Due to consensus nature of the chronology it h...
متن کاملState of the "Art": A Taxonomy of Artistic Stylization Techniques for Images and Video
This paper surveys the field of nonphotorealistic rendering (NPR), focusing on techniques for transforming 2D input (images and video) into artistically stylized renderings. We first present a taxonomy of the 2D NPR algorithms developed over the past two decades, structured according to the design characteristics and behavior of each technique. We then describe a chronology of development from ...
متن کاملMixing and equilibration: Protagonists in the scene of nonextensive statistical mechanics
After a brief review of the present status of nonextensive statistical mechanics, we present a conjectural scenario where mixing (characterized by the entropic index qmix ≤ 1) and equilibration (characterized by the entropic index qeq ≥ 1) play central and inter-related roles, and appear to determine a priori the values of the relevant indices of the formalism. Boltzmann-Gibbs statistical mecha...
